From February 15th to 19th, the HPA Tech Retreat returns to Palm Springs, bringing together a wide cross-section of the media, entertainment, and technology community. EIKON’s technical leaders will be attending, taking part in sessions and meeting with clients and partners across the week.
The Retreat has built a reputation for focusing on practical developments rather than theory, and this year’s programme reflects that. Topics we are particularly interested in include agentic AI in media workflows, with sessions involving NVIDIA, filmmaker-led uses of AI in production from Astria and Moonvalley, and the ongoing discussion around the idea of a unified master in post-production, led by teams from Universal Pictures and Walt Disney Studios. All of these areas are evolving quickly, and it is always useful to compare notes and share perspectives with others working through the same challenges.
Just as important as the sessions themselves are the conversations that happen around them. The Retreat is one of the few events where there is time to talk openly about real operational challenges, changing client expectations, and what is actually working in practice.
